Keeping Sanduskians warm for over 100 years.

For more than 100 years, Hohler Furnace and Sheet Metal has helped keep Sanduskians warm.

The company began as John Mertz & Sons at McDonough and Washington streets around 1860. Franklin D. Hohler joined Mertz & Sons in 1916 as an office worker.

He bought the business from Mertz in 1929, subsequently renaming it Hohler Furnace and Sheet Metal.

The company contracts sheet metal work of all shapes and sizes, performs all types of welding, installs and repairs heating and air conditioning units and fabricates sheet metal for industrial uses.

The company today is run by brothers Frank and Rich Hohler, who have been working in the family business since they were children.
