About Port Clinton, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Port Clinton, Ohio is the county seat of Ottawa County. It was established in 1828 along the shores of Lake Erie and named for former New York governor DeWitt Clinton. The town, despite its location, was never a major player in the shipping industry, but today its lakeside location draws a lot of tourist traffic to this town of about 6,000 residents. Local attractions include the Island Adventures Family Fun Center, with its mini-golf, go-karts, bumper boats and arcade games, the drive-through African Safari Wildlife Park and the Monsoon Lagoon water park. Fisherman's Wharf hosts charter boat tours and fishing trips during the warmer months, while the Liberty Aviation Museum is open year-round.

Late spring kicks off the festival season in Port Clinton, as the Ohio temperatures start to rise and the lake shores provide cool comfort. The Walleye Festival takes place towards the end of May, while June brings several arts and crafts events to the downtown area. In July the nation's top amateur shooters converge on Camp Perry for the National Match, and on Labor Day weekend the Knights of Columbus host the annual Perch, Peach, Pierogi, and Polka Festival. While the Port Clinton Harvest Festival at the end of September usually marks the end of the tourist season, an influx of visitors arrives right at the end of the year to brave the chill and see the midnight walleye drop at the New Year's Eve Walleye Madness event.
